About Faith

A law school graduate, Faith Gorsky found her true calling in recipe development, photography, and writing through her blog An Edible Mosaic. Her recipes and food photography emanate her passion for travel and healthy, seasonally-focused meals shared with friends and family.

Faith wrote and photographed her first cookbook, An Edible Mosaic: Middle Eastern Fare with Extraordinary Flair, which depicts her love affair with Middle Eastern cuisine and culture, and was published by Tuttle Publishing in November 2012.

Faith is available for writing, food styling, photography, recipe development, and consultation; she can be reached via email.

About Faith’s Photography

Faith sees the beauty in things that aren’t always beautiful at first glance, whether it’s a littered street in a crowded neighborhood or an old piece of rusted vintage flatware. These things tell a story – like the laughing kids that have passed on that littered street through the decades, or the meals at which that piece of old flatware was used to nourish a family for generations – and there’s beauty in that if you’re willing to look for it.

Food is love in every sense of the word, and as such, it’s one of Faith’s favorite subjects to photograph. Faith also enjoys traveling and the ability to immerse herself in culture through travel, so many of her work showcases sights she’s seen while exploring the world. Faith was able to photograph Damascus and other areas of Syria in early 2011 when their historical landmarks were still intact, and several of the photos on this site were taken in Syria. Faith’s travels have also taken her to Thailand, Jordan, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, France, England, as well as many areas of the U.S., and many of her photos here depict her travels to these areas.
